I have been redecorating our bathroom for what feels like…well since we moved in 4 years ago. I think we’ve finally reached a point where it’s almost done. To contribute to the updating and redecorating process I used my Cricut Maker to create a couple bathroom signs.
When I was looking for inspiration for the bathroom signs I searched different ideas on Pinterest. Once I found what I wanted to do I went into Design Space to find the graphics that I wanted to use. The good thing about Design Space? It has almost any graphic you could want.
- A Cricut Machine – I have the Cricut Maker
- Cricut Permanent Vinyl
- A Weeding Tool
- Scissors
- Transfer Tape
- Tweezers (not pictured)
- A Cutting Mat (not pictured)
For the first sign I decided to go with a sign that had a toilet and said “Hey there, Sweet Cheeks”. This meant I needed an image of a toilet. I found the image by going into Design Space, clicking Image, typed in “toilet” in the search bar, clicked “Filter”, Operation type “Cut Only”, and found the image I wanted to use.
Next, I rotated the toilet and sized it to what I needed it to be for the sign.
After I was done with the toilet I found a font that I liked and typed “Hey there, sweet cheeks” attached the words and the toilet together. This makes sure it prints as one image together and not multiple. Sized the attached image to fit onto the canvas that I would be putting it on and clicked make.
After weeding the extra vinyl off of the cut image, I used transfer tape to take the vinyl off of its backing and put it onto the canvas. Using the Brayer I applied pressure and rolled the vinyl onto the canvas. Tada!! It’s completed and ready to go on the wall.
